How do I set up an open account with Budwig Company, Inc.?

USA Customers that would like to establish an open account must submit FOUR trade references (with email addresses – we no longer use of have FAX capability) and one bank  reference via email to Budwig Company for review. A typical Credit Check can take 7 – 10 days. Our terms are STRICT NET 30. All orders are shipped UPS (freight collect or Pre-Pay & Add) F.O.B. San Diego, CA USA.

Is there a minimum purchase on any part?

There is a $100.00 Minimum Purchase for USA Customers and $600.00 (USD) for International Customers (per line item – no combining) per purchase order on stock inventory parts and colors. Minimum Purchase is not applicable to Antenna Connector and Insulators (HQ) products. Contact our sales staff for Minimum Purchase on Special Orders, Custom Parts & Cable Straps.

How can I get pricing?

Please contact our sales staff via email or phone for current pricing. All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise indicated.

What are my payment options?

USA Customers PayPal – Add 4% (to the TOTAL Invoice Amount) for PayPal Service Charge. Order can usually ship same day or next day upon receipt confirmation of PayPal Payment (If parts are IN-STOCK). PayPal Membership or Account is NOT required. In addition to PayPal, Payment-in-Advance customers can mail CHECK or MONEY ORDER or pay directly via ACH. Orders can also be shipped within a day or two via UPS C.O.D.     

International Customers – Must Pre-Pay all Orders. Payment-in-Advance (purchase order and shipping costs) will only be accepted via Bank-to-Bank Wire Transfers or PayPal (International Customers add 5% to Total Amount of Invoice for PayPal Service Charge). Please add $20 on each bank-to-bank wire transfer for bank wire service charge. See our SALES POLICY for additional information regarding payment options.

How do I place an order?

The preferred method for receiving orders is via email. We will also accept orders via phone or U.S. mail. FAXING orders is no longer an option as our FAX capability has been discontinued. Your order will be confirmed within 24 hours of receipt (except on weekends and holidays). For phone orders, our normal business hours are; 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (PST) Monday – Thursday, Friday 7:30 AM – 11:00 AM. You may Email your purchase order 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How soon can I expect to receive my order after it is placed?

Most orders received by mid-day on stock items ship within 24 hours, and often the same day. Unless otherwise specified, orders are shipped via UPS Ground Service (freight collect). There is no additional charge for drop shipments within the USA, however we DO NOT Drop Ship Freight Collect Third Party Billing. We DO NOT Drop Ship INTERNATIONAL ORDERS Freight Collect or C.O.D.

All merchandise is shipped F.O.B. San Diego, California using UPS freight collect unless otherwise agreed upon. All Shipments from Budwig Company exceeding $ 150 in value will be insured for full value at customer’s expense.

Is my order taxable?

Orders delivered within the state of California are subject to California State Sales Tax unless we have a resale card on file. Contact our sales staff to submit a CURRENT & SIGNED Tax Exempt Certificate.

What type of material do you use to manufacture Budwig Bumpers (feet)?

Our stock inventory feet (bumpers) are manufactured using Santoprene™ thermoplastic rubber. Quotes are available using alternative materials (i.e. polypropylene, polyethylene, etc). Contact our sales staff for your specific material requirements.

Durometer – What is it? Shore “A” scale, Shore “D” Scale

Durometer is typically used as a measure of hardness in polymers, elastomers and rubbers. Shore “A” scale for softer materials and Shore “D” for harder materials. Our stock inventory feet (bumpers) are manufactured using thermoplastic rubber with a Durometer of 87 on a Shore “A” scale. This is roughly equivalent to the hardness of an “outdoor” in-line roller skate wheel. Additional softer Durometers available in 73A & 64A, and also in harder Durometers 40D & 50D. What are the weight capacities of Budwig thermoplastic feet (bumpers)?

Weight capacity using thermoplastic rubber, at normal room temperatures can vary considerably from one application to another. All weight capacities are only recommended. Conclusive determination should be based on individual product testing and evaluation on a case by case basis by the end user. Factors such as; Durometer; the total number of bumpers (feet) being used; the environment (i.e. exposure to ozone, chemicals, extreme temperatures, static vs. dynamic applications, abrasion and shock) should be considered and not limited to, for your final assessment.
